Gong Sound Bath Workshop

A virtual sound meditation session (aka 'sound bath') is designed to reset and revitalize mind and body. The sound of the gong helps to entrain and downshift brainwaves to a relaxed and restorative state, allowing participants to access the benefits of meditation without any experience required. Especially for people with active minds, sound baths make meditating easy and enjoyable. All you have to do is lie down, put on some headphones, close your eyes, and let the unique sounds carry you away into a state of tranquillity deep within.

By the end of the session, you'll feel calmer, grounded and at peace. The session begins with a brief

introduction, followed by the soothing sounds of a symphonic gong. You’ll be guided out of the experience with a few other instruments and then have a chance to ask questions or share about your experience, or just enjoy the state of deep peace that you’ve cultivated.

Here are some tips for how to set up at home:

  • Wear headphones for the best sound experience
  • Listen from the Zoom desktop app and make sure you have a strong internet connection
  • Find a comfortable spot to lie down
  • Grab a blanket to keep yourself warm, a pillow to support your head, and an eye mask to cover your eyes
  • Light a scented candle or use essential oils to create a relaxing atmosphere
